My trainer said something really interesting to me this week. Since I've been on my work out kick I've lost over ten pounds and it feels great. I need to loose maybe another five pounds and build a little more muscle. But now my progress seems to have slowed down a bit. When discussing this with my trainer, who is brutally honest but I love her for it, she said "if you'd quit eating and drinking all of that shit you wouldn't have a problem. Because your doing the cardio and your doing the work". Now some people might be offended by that comment. I think it was exactly what I needed to hear. The drinking she refers to is my comfort glass or two of wine that I have, sometimes daily. And the eating would be those moments where I stand in the pantry eating chips while looking for a healthier option. I don't even realize I do it. But I think those things are clearly hindering my progress. So this is my written word to be more in tune to what goes into my mouth. As for giving up wine...not sure that's going to happen.
I have a wine party to go to tonight and I'm supposed to meet my trainer at 6:00 am tomorrow. Not sure if my will power is up to the challenge.
