I finally won my first tennis match of the season! Whoo Hoo! Thank goodness I pulled this one out because we only have one more match before Thanksgiving and there is no way I have a chance of winning that one. It's not that I'm negative, just realistic. I've only been playing for a year. It's one of the first things I've ever done that I really had to work at. But that just makes me more determined to do it! I have improved so much since last year, but I have so much more to learn. It's frustrating and exciting all rolled up in one yellow fuzzy ball.
The group of ladies I play with are great, I couldn't ask for a better team to play with. We are there for each other and cheer each other on. It really helps to have a support system like them.
Today we reviewed our match over Sake and Sushi, reflecting on what we did well and what needs work...and what REALLY needs work. Of course most of our conversation was through giggles and hearty laughter. It's one of the best parts of the day.
